I haven't had much time for crafting this week or updating my blog. I must be good and do it on Saturday. All I have managed to produce this week are these two children's bracelets.

Vintage and Makers Market
Here are some pictures of the Vintage and Makers Market which I was a stall holder at last Saturday. It was organised by the lovely Jo Meadows and took place at the Shire Hall in Chelmsford. The market takes place on the last Saturday of the month and from May it's spreading out on to the High Street!

Necklaces
I still have some of these lovely necklaces for sale. I have a selection of different coloured polymer roses on a silver plated chain, alongside either a key, a postcard or a crown (very jubilee-esk). Not all of them are visable, so if you'd like a particular colour/charm combination let me know and I will see what I can do!
They're £5 each and just £1 postage. Contact me on contact@amilouofessex.co.uk if you'd like one.

Commission cushions finished!
I've completed these lovely cushions this evening. I will be dropping them off to the customer in the morning :-)

New section of the website
'My week in pictures' is now on the home page of my website. Very cool as it's done using flash, take a look to see what I've been up to this week. http://www.amilouofessex.co.uk/
Sales!
Sold two cakestands today and made some progress with my first commission order :-) I've also had two people offer to host 'craft parties' for me which is brilliant news!
I did take some pictures of the Vintage and Makers Market on Saturday but I haven't quite managed to upload them yet, coming soon....

New cake stands made today!
I've been busy with the drilling again this evening. Here are the latest two I've made. I love the one with the cup. The set was kindly donated to me by a friend :-)

Machine embroidery = AMAZING
I urge anyone who has not tried machine embroidery to get out there and give it a go. Kirstie Allsopp was spot on when she described it as 'the crack cocaine of the craft world'. It's so much fun and so easy!
I did an evening class at Make Do and Mend in Chelmsford http://www.makedomend.com/ run by Alex Waylett. Both Make Do and Mend and Alex were excellent. Here is what I produced that evening, lots more to do on it as Alex said 'you can always do a little more'. We cut part of it up and made it in to greetings cards. Just got to decide what to do with what is left!
